Morley Fund Management 

Morley Fund Management is part of the Aviva Group and one of the largest asset managers in the UK.

Problem

Morely wanted to develop a more systematic and searching vision for their responsibilities as a financial company.

Project

Devised and facilitated a workshop to explore and developing how to implement a deeper vision of corporate social responsibility (CSR) within Morley.

Benefits

This resulted in a new structure for managing CSR in 2004, including:

• CSR committee – comprising owners of the relevant CSR policies, whose objective is to ensure that policies are developed and implemented to support the overall CSR policy

• Business area CSR representatives - comprising senior representatives from each business function who will work with policy owners to implement CSR policies in their business areas

• CSR steering group – comprising key staff with specialist knowledge plus external advisors if required, providing advice to the CSR committee, enabling policy owners to ensure that policies address current issues and reflect good practice.
